Trent Christensen has had multiple careers in law, entrepreneurship, and politics. Trent is currently the Chief of Staff and General Counsel for OmniTeq. In his role, Trent oversees all legal work for the company and manages the company’s business and growth strategy. He also serves as Executive Director of FOCIS (Focusing on Children’s Individual Success), an educational nonprofit that scholarships the We Are Friends© program into Utah schools to assist children in learning the behavioral and social skills to unlock their true potential.
Trent spent three years as the CEO of a venture accelerator based in Salt Lake that helped young, first-time entrepreneurs raise investment capital for their start ups.
Trent served as Vice President for Community Development at Zions Bank, administering their efforts to sponsor entrepreneurship throughout Utah and the region.
Prior to that he served as the Executive Director of the Senator Orrin G. Hatch Center for Civility and Solutions.
Trent graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science from Brigham Young University, and graduated magna cum laude with a Juris Doctorate from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University.
Immediately following law school, Trent was an associate at Ropes & Gray LLP, a nationally recognized law firm, where he practiced complex business litigation and appellate litigation.
Trent’s mother legally immigrated from Argentina to the United States in 1963 to pursue the American dream. His father grew up on a farm and became a touring musician before settling in Utah. Trent is the proud father of four amazing kids — all currently teenagers!
After completing high school, Trent spent two years in Chile serving the people and learning Spanish fluently. He is preparing to send his oldest son to Argentina for two years to grow in his faith and learn more about his Argentinian roots.
